Hear first-hand the plans for the Bicentenary of the S&DR in 2025. Already under construction is the Witton Park to Stockton 26-mile walking/cycling route and the huge building projects at Shildon and Darlington which are nearing completion. The Friends will reveal their hopes for the future of the former Locomotion public house at Heighington Station, recently upgraded by Historic England, to Grade 2* listed and the oldest purpose-built passenger railway station building in the world.
