Can I thank all those who helped out at Woodham Community Centre Open Day last Saturday, together with the many who supplied prizes for the raffle, especially Ernie from Woodham Golf , Redz fish shop and the Huntsman  pub. All prizes have now been claimed.
The Open Day was held to showcase the splendid facilities we have for use by the community, we especially want more young people to be encouraged to hold activities and come up with new ideas.
Hannah Day whose father is on our Committee has shown an eagerness to be involved which I know many other youngster also have, but we need to find ways to encourage more to come forward.
Hannah who is a member of many things helped organise and run our very successful “Flight Night” with Aycliffe Model Club and along with her friends Josh and Eli raised £500 for Red Nose Day. For our open day Hannah made cakes and sold anniversary glasses to help raise funds for the centre.
Hannah is a pupil at Greenfield College, and has suggested other activities she would like to help organise and we are looking forward to help bring these ideas  into practice.
