The U18’s competed in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League this season and to the credit of every one connected to the team we went on to enjoy both a memorable and very successful season. The team were unstoppable during their league campaign and for anyone who came and watched any of our games they would have seen the team playing some excellent passing and exciting football that were capable of scoring goals from all over the pitch.

The team played 20 league games this season winning 17, drawing 3 and losing 0, scoring 123 goals and conceding just 20 whilst keeping 7 clean sheets to win the league unbeaten by 12 clear points. The team can also boast to having the best home and away record as well as the most clean sheets and longest winning streak in the division. The team also had 5 players making the division’s top 10 goal scorers with Aycliffe Callum Lester finishing as the division’s top scorer with 26 league goals.

The teams management /Squad consisted of Ryan Farley (player coach), Thomas Longstaff (not pictured), Jack Slatcher (Captain), Tom Pilkington (not pictured), Connor Lyon, Luke Allenby, Haydn McKenna, Christian Taylor, Jack Garbutt, Andrew Vincent, Tom Olley, Harry Winwood, Cory Loscombe, Ben Stevens, Joe Young, Kyle Hardy, Callum Lester,  Nige “Slatch” Slatcher (Manager), Tracy Slatcher (Team Administrator & not pictured) and  Alan Hardy (Parent Helper)

All the players should be very proud of what they have achieved this year not just for their success on the pitch but for how they have conducted themselves whilst representing the club throughout the season. You are all a credit to your parents and to this junior football club. Three of the current squad also went on to pass their FA coaching qualification with Ryan Farley being appointed player coach for the u18.s whilst Jack Slatcher and Harry Winwood agreed to manage and coach the newly formed development squad whilst still playing for the u18’s

The team can now look forward to being presented their league title trophy at the annual TJFA awards ceremony which is to be held at Tennis World in Middlesbrough on Tuesday 28th May

Finally I would like to thank Plasmor Concrete Products and the Mortgage Advice Centre for jointly sponsoring the U18’s team this season.
