This weekend Seb competed in the third round of the Micromax UK Championship in Cumbria at Rowrah. The weather was one heck of a mixed bag all weekend. Lots of rain to say the least – then the sun came out for a while on Sunday before the heavens opened again!

Heat One

Seb stared in P7. The weather looked OK, first few laps absolutely perfect, until the rain came down, all the kids aged between 7-12 drove amazing on slick tyres in the wet, Seb drove amazing finishing in P3.

Heat Two

Track had dried a little, but still needed wet tyres, and Seb started in pole position and enjoyed some really good racing with his pals and managed to hold on to 1st place.

Heat Three

Seb’s turn to start right at the back of the pack P11. He had a plan, had a good start, carefully working his way through the pack. He finished in P5, which was good as he was aiming for P7 or above so he was over the moon.

The Final

Seb started in P2. Great start and kept in second for most of the race but lost P2 with four laps to go, he tried to get the place back, catching up, but not quite getting there. He is still very happy with his performance last weekend and we have learnt we need to change a few things ready for his next race.

We were supposed to be in Wales but the race has been cancelled, so his next race in the Championship is on 16/17th July at Hooton Park. Massive thanks go to Nigel Horner at HRS Engines.
