Rose Lodge Care Home Donates ‘Creature Comforts’ to Dogs in Need of Home. Pet fans at Rose Lodge care home have been helping to support dogs in need of a new home by hosting a food and bedding collection for local charity Stray Aid. People living at Rose Lodge, staff members and families and friends have been donating dog food, bedding, towels and blankets so that the pups in the Coxhoe-based rescue centre can enjoy some extra ‘creature comforts’. Representatives Lee and Sharni from Stray Aid visited the home, along with beautiful rescue dog Toffee, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, to meet with residents and staff at the home and collect their donations. Nicola Wheatley, Care Manager at Rose Lodge, said: “We are a home of animal-lovers at Rose Lodge. Our residents love when pets come to visit us, whether that be the dogs of family members or from visiting pet therapy animals such as miniature horses, rabbits and owls. We often hold food bank collections to support animal charities because many of our residents, staff and families enjoy helping out animals in need.”
