On Monday 7th February, all children in Byerley Park got to experience what it could be like to participate in sport as a person with disabilities. Ebony, from the Go Well team, came in and led a number of fun and engaging sessions where pupils were introduced to the sport of seated volley ball. The children had to remain seated at all times which made it more difficult for them to play. It provided an excellent insight into some of the challenges that people with disabilities have to overcome in sport and, more widely, their everyday lives. Pupil engagement, enthusiasm, team work and determination from all of the pupils on the day was lovely to see.
