It has been a very busy week for this rescue, I have been releasing some overwintered prickly babies to very safe gardens, my thanks go to Lesley and Steve who have welcomed Tiny and Stevie to their beautiful safe haven, also Elaine and Kev have taken two hedgehogs, a boy and a girl, I use my own discretion about where to release these little ones depending on certain factors, where they were found originally and under what circumstances to start with. We all need these beautiful little hogs to survive, they don’t have easy lives and I don’t envy them being faced with the dangers that we all contribute to.
I have also admitted two poorly hedgehogs, one from Durham, a severely underweight male we have called Pebbles, he has been named appropriately because he was spotted in a garden lying on pebbles in the middle of the afternoon, Chris his finder paid for a taxi to get him here, poor soul took 24 hours on a heat pad to get warm. Also on Monday night another severely underweight male, all the way from Gainford, he is called Charlie, he has started to settle now, here he is pictured.
All of this has been made possible because of the people who support me to support them, firstly, June and Valerie, Bob and Marjorie for their donation pushed through the letterbox! Also Joyce for the stuffing for our animals, Elaine and Angela of Grange Vets for their trust and support, it means the world. Thank you all.
