It’s been a busy year so far, there is so much going on around our town and it’s an honour to be invited to come along and be a part of celebrating residents’ special days and anniversaries.
The Mayoress and I have been along to many of our Town Council events, including Fun in the Parks during the summer holidays, our annual fireworks display, Remembrance Day and our Carol Service, to name a few, and I received a special invitation to visit the troops at Catterick Garrison which was fantastic.
There is plenty to look forward to in 2026 including the Charity Civic Dinner at Redworth Hall Hotel on Friday 20th February.
This year we have live music from Micky Rich and Fully Loaded Disco, and I would like to take this opportunity to invite residents to come along and join us for a lovely three course dinner with wine. Tickets cost £40.00 and there will also be a raffle and tombola to raise funds for my chosen good causes which are Wishing Well and Options. Email: info@great-aycliffe.gov.uk for a reservation form.
As this year’s Mayor of Great Aycliffe, it gives me great pleasure to wish all of our residents a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Mayor, Councillor Ken Robson.
