Before the Christmas holidays, we were delighted to welcome assemblies delivered by our Year 11 Student Leadership Team to each year group.
The team, consisting of Joseph C (Head Boy), Pippa M (Head Girl), Evan A and Max M (Deputy Head Boys), and Kitty W-L and Brooke B (Deputy Head Girls), independently planned and delivered a series of assemblies throughout the week. Each presentation was delivered with a high level of confidence, professionalism and composure.
The assemblies focused on key stages of the Woodham Academy journey, including starting in Year 7, developing positive habits, making the most of opportunities, selecting GCSE options and preparing for the transition into Year 11. The content was both informative and reflective, providing valuable guidance for students at each stage of their education.
Mr Patterson (Lead Practitioner for Character and Culture) said, “We would like to congratulate the Student Leadership Team on their exemplary conduct and dedication, and to thank them for their positive contribution to the wider school community.”
This opportunity came about as part of our student leadership pathway, through which students can gain leadership experience during their time at Woodham Academy in a range of roles, such as ambassadors, form or year group representatives, and members of the Student Leadership Team.
