It’s been an eventful few days at this very small rescue, we have had admissions, three over the weekend, Baby Charley, found in a puddle Saturday night, bless her, she is only tiny, a mere 90 grams, but has taken up residency in our beautiful incubator with Babe. Thanks again to everyone who made this possible, thanks to Marlene, June, Lori, Bev, Valerie, Jackie, Elizabeth, Hazel and Angela who made this incubator possible, we have had two other admissions, Rani with an upset tummy also Buster, he came from Ferryhill and is unable to use one of his back legs.
Everyone who has supported this rescue have made it possible for me to get lovely accommodation, food and, more importantly, medical supplies for diagnosis and treatment, thanks again.
I would like to show you where we keep our poorly and small hedgehogs, they are adjacent to the kitchen, they sleep on vet beds and blankets and also get changed twice daily, here is a picture of our incubator that everyone helped me obtain.
Tip of the week: If you see a hedgehog out during the day, whatever size, please seek advice from The British Hedgehog Preservation Society on 01584 890801 or your local vet.
