Dear Sir,
I’m thrilled to hear about the new agreement reached for the Hitachi Factory. I was concerned we might lose the factory, along with 700 highly-skilled jobs. It’s reassuring to see the government stepping in to secure two deals totalling over £800 million. Finally, workers can feel a sense of job security after years of indecision from the previous administration.
Credit to our MP, who has worked tirelessly on this issue over the past couple of years. It’s encouraging to see positive developments in the industrial estate since the new government took office, including the Ministry of Defences acquisition of the former Fujitsu factory and now the Hitachi deal.
Our town needs more quality, well-paying jobs and these announcements are a step in the right direction for further growth and opportunities.
