The weather conditions are still very poor for releasing hedgehogs, I do have a lot here at the moment, but they need to be kept warm, safe and well and it’s very tiring to say the least. Each and every hedgehog has to be health checked every day and medicated wherever possible.
I have brought some of these in my rescue, from babies, Dylan was a mere 73 grams when he came in, he is now more than 900grams and very cute. He, like so many, being left without mum so early in life have difficulties when they return to the wild, so he will go to a safe place.
I hope everyone reading this knows that these beauties are endangered and protected under the law, I keep them in our house, I consider myself honoured to have them here and to be able to give them the love and care they richly deserve.
Your support is invaluable, I want to thank, firstly, Bob West for dropping by on Saturday 22nd of February with his donation, Hazel also called with some lovely towels and a donation, also Julia, Lynda Hughes, Athol and Jo Hawkes, and everyone who has participated in my scratch card fundraiser. The money raised so far has made it possible for me to keep the hedgehogs happy, healthy and stress free.
I would also like to say a big thank you to June, she has made some beautiful blankets for the hedgehogs here and they love them. Thank you June and Val for everything that you do to help me keep going. The house is getting a nice amount of interest so, hopefully, it will be sold very soon, I am looking forward to moving out, it’s time to go now.
