Dear Sir

I would like to say to all the residents in Aycliffe North and Middridge, to all the residents in Cobblers, Horndale and Byerley Park, please vote for me to enable me to become your Councillor for both County and Aycliffe Town Council.

I am not going to boast or brag about my past achievements, of which I have many, including Mayor of Great Aycliffe 2010/2011. Throughout the Pandemic I have collected surplus food three nights a week from Tesco and five nights a week from Greggs and delivered it personally to the people who needed it across our town, usually finishing about 9.30pm, regardless of the weather conditions.

But I promise to serve you all to the best of my ability, to genuinely vote for the good of the residents, make sure that any complaints that you give me will be addressed to the best of my ability, both in time and result with no delays in contacting you with whatever the outcome.

My priorities will be older people, domestic violence, mental health and young children.

I will not tolerate anti-social behaviour, because I believe every person is entitled to a peaceful life 24 hours a day, which is not happening at the moment.

I do not expect the Police Commissioner to be a person who allows leniency to be given to the perpetrators and residents petitions to be ignored, as the petition I handed in to the present acting commissioner was, and I was forbidden from having his reply published. I did help and set up a petition with a young lady, who gathered over 1000 signatures, to have Whinlatter Bridge kept open and we succeeded at the time, possibly just before, or as the streets reverted back to West Ward. I would like, with the residents, help to bring RESPECT back into the communities and schools, a very hard but worthwhile task I am sure we can achieve with intergenerational work.

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME.

Dorothy Bowman, Independent.
