Aycliffe’s very own Lucas Cunliffe won five categories in a top north east grappling competition, competing against some of the best opponents from around the country. Lucas beat ten opponents over ten x 5 minute rounds, submitting eight of them.
Lucas, 14, trains five days a week with his team in Newton Aycliffe at Next Gen Jiu Jitsu, coached by John Paul and his dad, Dave.
Classes for teenagers and adults are held daily, which are updated via their social media.
The coming weeks will have several more classes added to accommodate mixed martial arts classes too.
All classes are taught by active competitors, accomplished MMA Fighters and Black Belt BJJ coaches.
