Woodham Academy’s netball programme has been thriving, with students recently taking part in two memorable trips that showcased both their passion for the sport and their excellent conduct.
The first trip saw students travel to watch an exciting live fixture between the Leeds Rhinos Netball and Nottingham Forest Netball. It was a closely contested and thrilling game, providing a fantastic opportunity for students to experience high-level netball and gain inspiration from elite athletes in action.
The second trip took students to PGL Boreatton Park in Shrewsbury for the annual netball tour. The event was a great success, both on and off the court. Woodham Academy’s Year 7/8 team and a Year 9 team both proudly secured bronze medals. Students on the trip also took part in activities including zip wire, laser tag, rifle shooting and abseiling.
Beyond their sporting achievements, all students represented Woodham Academy with pride. Their positive attitudes, teamwork and sportsmanship were evident throughout both trips, making them a real credit to the school.
