On our most recent WI meeting we had an excellent presentation of the history, funding and life saving services carried out by the RNLI, which has been operational for over two centuries.
Our next meeting on 9th June will be a craft social evening and our June excursion will be to Helmsley Market and the Flower Belt, where members can enjoy the beautiful colours of old English wild flowers, refreshing drinks and baked treats at The Honey Tap café and take in the views over the glorious North Yorkshire countryside.
As a WI member, you can have access to the events catalogue from WI House, including early evening walks, coffee mornings, cookery demonstrations, lunches and coach trips, all at reasonable prices to suit your budgets.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm in the Methodist Church at Neville’s Parade. We have speakers on varied topics, craft evenings, auctions and parties.
There is no need to be lonely as a WI member. Come and join our friendly and welcoming Newton Aycliffe WI. All women are welcome.
If you have any questions or queries, please contact our President Christine Robinson on 07981 992686.
