Washington Crescent local convenience store has officially reopened under new ownership, bringing back a vital shopping destination for the community after its closure as Morrisons Daily in September.
Now operating proudly under the Go Local brand, the store reopened this week and is once again ready to serve the needs of local residents. The relaunch was driven by strong community support, with local customers and staff encouraging the new owner to bring the store back to life and restore an essential service to the neighbourhood.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to reopen and serve this fantastic community,” said Mandeep, new owner of the Washington Crescent store. “From day one, both staff and residents showed incredible support, and it was clear how important this shop is to local families, workers and passers-by. We’re committed to offering great value, fantastic service and a friendly, familiar shopping experience.”
The reopening ensures that staff have returned to their roles and that customers once again have convenient access to groceries, everyday essentials, fresh foods, newspapers, snacks and household items, all close to home.
Residents are invited to visit the new Go Local Washington Crescent store, support their local business and share feedback to help shape ongoing improvements.
