Pupils from St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School have thoroughly enjoyed working with students from Stephenson College, Durham on a project for the Lunar New Year. This culminated in the pupils performing a dance and a song as part of the celebrations in Durham on Saturday 10th February 2024.
Across the project, the pupils learnt about the history, traditions and customs of the Lunar New Year. They also learnt how to wish people a prosperous new year.
Mrs Evans ( Headteacher of St. Joseph’s) said, “It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils; they had a great time and learnt a lot. We would like to thank the students from Stephenson College for working with us.”
