INTERESTED IN PEOPLE AND PLACES?
Hi everyone, now that we’re coming out of lock down, I’d like to let you know about this club, based in Co Durham called The Friendship Force. We are a branch of the international club started by President Carter forty-five years ago, with clubs all over the world.
We travel as a group, stay with members in other countries, do and see so much more than travelling independently, have a great social time, a full week of people, places, and experiences you never forget. Yearly we travel, sometimes long haul, when we will stay with two or three clubs for a week at a time.
Last year and this year, due to Covid-19, we are staying safe but next year a visit to the Belgian Coast Club is planned when we will use train and Eurostar. The same club hope to visit us when we will highlight our County and places of interest. Apart from travel, we meet locally for social gatherings, coffee, bar, lunches etc, keeping in touch, comparing ideas, and discussing travel plans, safety in numbers features widely for people on their own, and couples.
The build up to hosting and travel is great as, through email, you get to be well acquainted with whoever you host or will be staying with. Firm friendships are made through these encounters and wonderful travel experiences.
