Dear Newtonians,
We would like to share some exciting news with you. This December marks the 40th anniversary of our first service at St Elizabeth’s of Hungary.
Over the past 40 years we have seen many changes in terms of incumbents, clergy, church wardens, congregations etc, but one thing has remained constant and that is our commitment to the community.
We are marking this special anniversary with a celebration coffee morning on Saturday 6th December, opening at 10.00am. There will be an opportunity to meet with friends old and new; to reminisce over the history and achievements over the years. There will be a raffle, crafts for all ages and seasonal refreshments with also the opportunity to look around and take a moment of quiet in this busy season. We will be offering a soup lunch for anyone who would like to stay and share some added time together.
We will also be holding a special service on Sunday 7th December, at 10.30am, where we will be offering extra thanks to God for the Past, Present and Future of our Church in the Parish of Great Aycliffe.
Please know that you all are very much included in this and the invitation is for all to come along.
From that tiny seed grown in a home group started over 40 years ago, something quite remarkable has grown.
Rev. Helen Musson
