Week Ending 25th January 2026
Under 10’s welcomed Leven Royals in the first round of the cup. Leven started the strongest, pressing and moving the ball around the pitch. Aycliffe could not get the result they wanted, but did score a goal through Kian. MOTM was Kaeson for a strong defensive display.
Under 11’s faced Darlington United Reds, putting in an outstanding performance against a team four divisions higher. Aycliffe worked hard throughout, with goals from Noah A and Oliver T. Jacob C won MOTM for showing maturity in defence when tasked with man marking a talented player.
Under 11’s Whites faced a strong Ferryhill side, who had won every game this season. Despite creating numerous chances, Aycliffe could not get the goal they desired. OMOTM was Rowan for relentless pressure. CMOTM was Archer, who was dangerous on the right wing, creating chances.
Under 12’s Blacks travelled to play Billingham Juniors who are a couple of divisions higher than Aycliffe in the cup. It was not to be Aycliffe’s day, with Billingham’s quality shining through. JJ scored a good goal for Aycliffe on the break.
Week Ending 1st February 2026
Under 7’s played against 21st All Stars Yellows in a good game of football between two evenly matched teams. Aycliffe gave a great account of themselves, playing nice football, with goals from Lennon and Leo.
Under 9 Juniors hosted Eaglescliffe Elementis at home in the first round of the cup. Aycliffe worked hard, coming from behind on three occasions, before bowing out on penalties. Alfie, Henry and Joey scored the goals.
Under 10’s Juniors travelled to Leven Athletic, looking forward to a fast-paced game. Aycliffe started the game at a blistering pace with some great chances. Connor eventually scored Aycliffe’s goal which was enough to win him MOTM.
Under 12’s Blacks travelled to face Marton FC Blues, trying a couple of different formations to combat the opposition. There was plenty of hard work and chances, with Liam converting for Aycliffe’s goal.
Under 13’s Whites travelled to face Gateshead Fell Oranges, racing into a 3-1 lead at the break. In the second half Gateshead pulled the game back to get the victory, before Aycliffe added a consolation goal. MOTM was Charlie H.
