Aycliffe recorded two draws in their first two games of 2026, with both games featuring last minute equalisers. Aycliffe’s next three games are all on the road, with a second visit to Ossett this season on the 24th, a long midweek trip to Matlock on the 27th and a short trip to Redcar on the 31st, to end the month. The next home game is against Silsden on Saturday 7th February, followed by the visit of Pontefract Collieries on Tuesday 10th February.
Tuesday 13th January – North Ferriby 1 v Newton Aycliffe 1
Newton Aycliffe went 1-0 down at the start of the second half, but spent an overwhelming majority of the contest with a higher degree of possession after Luke Hogg’s goal for the home side. Ferriby couldn’t get the ball off Aycliffe for large parts of the contest and the persistence of the team was rewarded when Kieran Greenway made it 1-1 in the 90th minute.
Saturday 17th January – Newton Aycliffe 1 v Consett AFC 1
A tough home game for Aycliffe saw them once again have a large amount of possession, but not gain three points, on a day where everyone below at least picked up one. Despite early penalty appeals by Consett the score was 0-0 for most of the first half until Jack Robertson was assisted by Tom Henson and Robertson wasted no time in slotting the ball past Consett’s Harry Moss. Late in the second half, substitute Ben Ramsey forced a great and confident save from Kyle Seymour. But, eventually, fellow substitute Eddie Thomas equalised in the 90th minute.
