Re: ‘disgusting habit’ in last week’s Newton News, I live in Faulkner Road and see dozens of dog walkers use the green as a dog toilet. Most are good owners and pick up the waste and use the bins provided, but there are a number of lazy, dirty owners who don’t clean up.
A number of owners drive to the green, let their dogs out to do their business then call them back and drive off.
Children play and sit on the green, running between the trees then step in the dirt left, I have challenged plenty of owners, but just get abuse back. I think this should be monitored and fines given out.
