A new partnership in Spennymoor will see everyday house moves directly supporting people affected by a cancer diagnosis or bereavement.
Local estate agents, Ryan James, has teamed up with Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, also known as Team Solan, and will donate £500 from every completed house sale in Spennymoor to the charity.
Ryan James, an independent local estate agents based in Bishop Auckland, say the partnership reflects their people-first approach and their long-standing involvement in the community.
Team Solan supports individuals and families navigating cancer and loss – providing practical help, emotional support and opportunities to spend meaningful time together. On average, it costs around £400 per year to support one family, meaning each property sold will fund more than a year of support for someone locally.
As part of the partnership, Ryan James will also provide an exclusive selling package for families supported by Team Solan who need to move home, as well as supporting fundraising events and awareness campaigns throughout the year.
The first donation will come from a local Spennymoor property currently being sold by the Ryan James team, marking the start of an ongoing commitment to supporting the community. Residents considering selling their home can now help a local person facing cancer simply by choosing Ryan James to support them in their move.
