Under 10s RFYL

Heighington AFC under 10s finished their summer league in the RFYL in style today against Durham United Lions. Our 4th match in 2 weeks and also our 4th victory. I missed the match due to being away, but Mr John Connor stepped in and helped the boys claim 2nd spot in the league. 4 games ago we were 2nd off bottom and now we have finished with promotion for our 3rd time in a row. I couldn’t be prouder of this team, they have fought so hard together and produced some amazing football. Goals today were scored by the departing Dylan x2 (gutted to see him go) and Oliver C x1. MoM went to Preston for the 2nd game in a row for us.

Only a few weeks now before our winter season in division 4 starts. Any players wanting a new challenge ahead of the winter league, then get in touch. Year 5 kids with some experience preferred. Contact myself John on 07507 281020

U10s Black TJFA

Derby Day

1st game

Newton Aycliffe Juniors 0 – 1 Heighington Blacks

2nd game

Newton Aycliffe Juniors 0 – 4 Heighington Blacks

Really good tempo set for Heighington and we played really well on a poor standard wet pitch. 3 points against Juniors who havent lost this season.

Well done blacks, back to winning ways.

U10s Whites TJFA

TJFA Green Division

20th October

Heighington Whites v

Eaglescliffe Elementis

1st game

Heighington Whites – 6

Eaglescliffe Elementis – 1

The boys have carried on from last weeks excellent performance.

Conditions were cold and windy but that never stopped the whites from dominating from start to finish. Some great passing and non stop running from all the team had Eaglescliffe on the back foot. Goals from Dan, 2 for Chris and a hat-trick from Benjamin lead us to victory.

MOM – Benjamin.

Great passing, non stop engine and super finishing.

2nd game

Heighington Whites – 2

Eaglescliffe Elementis – 0

This game was 15mins each way. Changes to the team and players playing in different positions did not stop the boys from again dominating. Goals from Lochy and Chris carried the whites forward to victory.

MOM – Dan.

Does not know when to stop which is a massive asset to our team.

Well done to all the players- Lochy, Harry, Joseph, Oscar, Kyran, Zach, Lucas, Benjamin, Chris and Dan. You all did fantastic boys in bad conditions, please keep up the great work.
