Here is a lovely story, our dear Patron, ‘Bill Cooksey’, who sadly passed at the end of last year, left Five Acres a few treasured items, one of which was a historic railway pay tin token – No. 219.
Five Acres went to ‘donate’ this token to the Shildon Railway Museum, Dave Scott (a volunteer at the Museum) verified what the token was used for – it will be sent to York Railway Museum for verification and then put on display to the public.
