Dear Sir,

I would be obliged if you would print the following letter, but do not want my name published.

“I read with joy and appreciation the letter published by “Tired of it all” entitled “Muddled Thinking” in last week’s publication.

I entirely agree with the sentiments therein. Since at least 2016 we have had to suffer Mr Welch’s bigoted missives and character assassinations on virtually a weekly basis. He is entitled to his views but so are the rest of us!!! We are intelligent, educated people and do not need his attempts to indoctrinate us. He has had more coats than Joseph.

I have been tempted on numerous occasions to write to Newton News on this matter and print my name but did not want to play to his ego and begin a slanging match. These sentiments I have also heard from many of your readers, so let’s have an end to it and let him and us get on with our lives. I am sure there are many good causes he could divert his obvious free time to.

At a time when our country is so divided we do not need weekly inflammatory articles, we all need to come together in peace, whatever our views may be. Let that be an end to it please. He has had more than his fair share of print time.

“Time to Move On”

Thank you.
