We are proud to introduce a new, refreshed and revitalised, Newton News – a publication that has long stood at the heart of our community. While this new chapter brings positive change and renewed energy, we also want to acknowledge an important shift.
Due to rising distribution costs and changing delivery logistics, we regret that we are no longer able to deliver a copy of Newton News to every home in Newton Aycliffe and the surrounding areas. We understand how much the door-to-door service meant to many of our readers and this was not a decision made lightly.
However, we are committed to ensuring that Newton News remains as accessible as possible, so, printed copies will be available at a wide range of convenient collection points across the town, including: Steam Machine, Trenches Cafe, Walkers Butchers, Thames Butchers, Aycliffe Village Hall, School Aycliffe Community Centre, Husqvarna (staff), Oakleaf Sports Complex, Costa Coffee, Tesco, Beveridge Way Bistro, PCP, Save Garage, McColls (Simpasture), Pease Way Surgery, Bewick Crescent Surgery, Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, Young’s Post Office (town centre), St. Clare’s Care Home, Ruff & Tumble, The Work Place, ROF59, Planet Leisure, Total Cards, Only Fools & Sauces, K9 Pursuits, Business Park Post Office, Gestamp (staff), Johns Shop (Neville Parade), Washington Crescent Shop, McDonalds, Oakfield Shop, Spar (Heighington),
The County, The Gretna, Lifeline Community Action Hub,
McColls (near Turbinia), Woodham Newsagent, Woodham Golf Club, Jubilee Medical Surgery, Cobblers Hall Pub, Greenlee Garth Shop, Middridge Village Hall, The ARK and Newton Press reception.
We encourage residents to pick up a copy while going about their daily routines and to continue supporting the local businesses that help make this magazine possible.
For those who prefer a more convenient or environmentally friendly option, Newton News is also available in digital format. Subscribing is simple – just email paul@newtonnews.co.uk to join our free distribution list and you will receive your copy directly to your inbox on the day of publication. This ensures you never miss out on the latest community news, features and announcements.
Despite these changes, our mission remains exactly the same, Newton News is, and always will be, dedicated to serving the people of Newton Aycliffe and its surrounding villages. We remain passionate about highlighting the achievements, stories and milestones of local residents, businesses, schools, clubs and organisations. This new format allows us to continue doing so sustainably, ensuring the magazine can thrive for many years to come.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our loyal readers and valued advertisers. Your continued support is the foundation of everything we do and we are excited to move forward together into this next phase.
As always, Newton News is your platform, if you are planning a local event, celebrating a personal milestone, promoting a business achievement, or simply have a story to share, we would love to hear from you. Please send your submissions to: paul@newtonnews.co.uk

Behind every successful promotion is a team you rarely see – our delivery team. At Newton Press, we don’t just print and deliver leaflets; we help businesses reach the right people at the right time. From takeaway menus to special offers and new business launches, every leaflet carries opportunity.
Our delivery team combines speed with precision and what sets us apart is flexibility. No rigid schedules – we work around you. That’s why local businesses trust our ‘delivery on your terms’ approach.

To residents, it’s just a leaflet.
To businesses, it’s connection, visibility and growth.
And to our team, it’s a job done right – delivered quietly, reliably, and exactly where it matters.
