We are delighted to start off the season with an inspiring programme for all of the family.
Our activities in 2026 cater for all ages, with a variety of workshops and courses to start the year off with something new and creative.
We are thrilled to welcome back our artists and tutors to give expert guidance in a welcoming space at the Eco Centre in Moore Lane. Our writing workshops (The Write Place) will return on a Wednesday morning and we are thrilled to introduce published author Fran Harvey who will lead sessions and give advice along the way. The workshop started on 4th February and beginners are welcome, there will be the chance for free writing time alongside like-minded people with lots of tea and biscuits to keep you going.
If you think pictures speak louder than words, we also welcome back popular artist Jayne Blacklock; our Acrylics workshop will take inspiration from spring in woodland and will take place on Friday 20th February from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. This event forms part of the new 2026 programme at Green Arts, bringing together those who are keen to explore the beauty and technique whilst painting with a vibrant acrylic palette.
For our younger artists, ‘Creative Explorers’ is running on Thursdays from 4.00pm to 5.30pm; the course is totally free and is designed for aged 7 plus and families are welcome. Led by professional artist Dawn Belshaw, the sessions are fun and creative, helping develop creativity in a supportive environment and help young people learn more about the world around us.
Our Cree men have also returned and are busy working alongside Richard Agar to create beautiful items for the community. Our fabulous men meet each Monday morning for this supportive group, with plenty of time to chat and socialise in a friendly environment.
Additionally, our ‘Little Green Gallery’ now boasts a range of artwork which you can browse in person or online. 2026 will see a new programme of small individual and group exhibitions, if you are interested in being involved just email the team info@green-arts.co.uk
