This years Glorious 12th (August) will have another meaning? There will be a first total eclipse of the sun in Europe for nearly thirty years. This will be a partial eclipse in the UK.
At its peak it will cover just over 90% of the Sun. It starts around 6.10pm and peaks around 7.07pm, ending at around 8.01pm.
