Last week our Rotary Newton Aycliffe renewed its connections with RotaKids at Sugar Hill Primary School. Our club provided hi-viz jackets which on the back read: ‘Partnered with Rotary Newton Aycliffe’.
Their first project has been collecting spectacles for Rotary members working in optometry to clean, grade and send to clinics in Africa. Thank you RotaKids and the school for your contribution of 100s of spectacles.
Another project is already planned, again partnered with Rotary Newton Aycliffe and Great Aycliffe Town Council. Very exciting and thank you to Rotarians, Margaret Ord and Claire Brown, and to the schools Headteacher, Kathy Legge, for their support and input.
