Dear Sir,
I write with respect to the imminent closure of the Greenfield Gallery and the questions quite understandably raised by Mike Thornton in last week’s edition of the Newton News.
Is it not beyond reason to ask ‘Greenfield Arts’ (whoever they are) or the Academy Trust or indeed the school itself to explain publicly exactly what is happening and, more importantly, why?
As Mike Thornton states, the facility was initially provided with funding from the Arts Council via the National Lottery and one would assume such bodies may like to have some say in its imminent closure.
Explanations please?
