I am a member of ManHealth peer support group based at Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre, Burn Lane, we meet every Tuesday from 6-8pm.
The group supports men from many walks of life and is a non judgemental group and a confidential arena where men can come along to the group to talk about any problems they are faced with and guide them into challenging themselves to making positive changes to their lifestyle and overcoming anxiety and depression to avoid prevention of suicide. You can find out more about our support groups at:

On Wednesday 19th February, ManHealth, supported by Durham County Council, started their very own litter picking group, the aim was to get the men out into the local community doing something productive for themselves, their wellbeing and reconnecting with the community once again.
At ManHealth we believe being part of a positive community will always bring changes to an individuals future and strengthen families moving forward. The litter pick was a success and I feel we made a big difference to the many areas we covered and will continue on Wednesdays from 10.00am ‘til 12.30pm.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Councillor Tony Armstrong for his attendance and support, he plays a vital role in our community and continues to show his determination and hard work to making a difference to his ward by being fully committed to his residents.
Daniel.
