Last Saturday we headed to the Youth Centre, Newton Aycliffe, for the Annual Model Railway Exhibition where we proudly showcased our Five Acres Farm layout alongside lots of other incredible displays.
We only went on to WIN!!!!
We were honoured to receive the ‘John Henry Jones Memorial Trophy’ – such a special moment for the team and a huge reward for all the effort that has gone into building it.
A big thank you to the Great Aycliffe Rotary Club for their involvement and support and a special mention to Graeme Watson and Dave Scott who helped build our layout, without their time, patience and skills our little farm railway might still be a pile of wood and wires.
Life after the burglary….
We would like to say a huge thank you to all who read about our recent break in at our site at Lime Lane, Brafferton and to those splendid folks who took the time to donate and offer assistance. This enabled us to replace fencing, damaged and stolen items.
We are so grateful to you all for supporting us in our hour of need.
