To Phillip and Andy from Aycliffe Radio, thank you so much for this morning. Both Travis and I had a lovely time. Travis is fancying himself as a Radio DJ in the future now.
Travis (Alton), who is 13, is going to Sri Lanka in March 2027 for 13 days with 17 other students from Woodham Academy. They will spend their time hiking, whale watching, doing local crafts and working in an elephant sanctuary.
He has been raising funds for this trip of a lifetime by washing cars, doing odd jobs for family members and attending events and birthday parties as Bluey the Mascot. We also organised a local quiz and curry night to help with his fund-raising.
