Aycliffe Bus Preservation Society
At last month’s meeting, members were treated to an excellent evening, with a presentation, bus ride and visit to the Aycliffe Bus Preservation Museum with Alex and Anna. There was plenty of singing and reminiscing on the bus ride and the museum was full of treasures and memorabilia.
September events
This months Aycliffe Village WI events include a trip to visit the sights, shops and cafes of Hexham and Corbridge, Book Club, Crafting at St Clare’s Court Care Home and a walk to Locomotion in Shildon
WI Day September 16th
To celebrate The WI’s 111th birthday, we will be holding a special birthday crafting event in The Village Hall from 1pm to 4pm. There will be refreshments provided and non members are especially welcome. You don’t have to be an expert, only able to paint pebbles, so please come along and join in the fun.
Our next WI Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 23rd September at 7pm in the Village Hall which will be an evening of Poetry and Plonk, bring along a favourite poem and we’ll provide the plonk.
