Laurel Place care home, part of Exemplar Health Care, has marked its first anniversary with a special celebration bringing together residents, colleagues and senior leaders.

The event reflected on a successful first year for the home, which has quickly become a valued part of the local community, providing high-quality care and support for adults living with complex needs arising from mental health, neurological, and physical health conditions, helping individuals to live as independently as possible in a safe and supportive environment.

Residents and colleagues  enjoyed a day of festivities, accompanied by an impressive spread provided by the Catering Team. Regional Director of Operations Samantha Sim also attended to present gifts and celebrate the home’s achievements.

It was a chance to reflect on highlights of the last year, where many memorable moments were made, from supporting musical fan George to land a role in a summer stage show, to seeing two colleagues make it to the regional finals of the Great British Care Awards.

The team has also come together to fundraise for the Huntington’s Disease Association and embraced new initiatives such as starting their own allotment, bringing residents closer to nature. These achievements reflect the home’s commitment to enriching lives, fostering talent, and building meaningful connections.

As Laurel Place continues to grow, the home is now actively recruiting for Health Care Assistants and Registered Nurses to join its dedicated team. This presents an exciting opportunity for compassionate and skilled professionals to be part of a supportive environment where they can make a real difference to people’s lives.
