1407 (Newton Aycliffe) Squadron RAFAC is holding a recruitment evening on Thursday 4th September. The squadron parades twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays at Barnard Armoury TA Centre on Greenwell Road. To be an Air Cadet you must be 13 years old, or 12 years old if you’re already in year 8 in school.
Air Cadets offer a wide range of fun and challenging activities, suitable for those with no experience and anyone who has already had a go. All Air Cadets can also benefit from training and gain qualifications that will be useful for all career choices.
The Squadron has recently developed an E-Sports suite and supports cadets through the Duke Of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.
The Recruitment Evening will provide young people with a chance to try out some of the regular cadet activities and parents and guardians can learn more about the cadet development programme and what commitment will be required to get the best out of the experience.
