Woodham Academy Year 9 students recently returned from their annual trip to the Opal Coast, and what an incredible week it was.
The students learnt lots about the French culture including trying the traditional delicacy ‘les escargots’ (snails) and seeing the workings of a real chocolate factory and, of course, sampling the goods.
Students also practiced their language skills by communicating in French by ordering food, drink and buying souvenirs in the local shops.
Some of them even developed their knowledge of French sea life vocabulary with their wonderful trip to Nausicaa aquarium in Boulogne.
Last, but certainly not least, the students were also able to experience exciting attractions such as a water park in Belgium and a theme park in the west of France.
