… at the Youth and Community Centre, Burn Lane, Newton Aycliffe DL5 4HT have been arranged by Rotary Great Aycliffe and our partners at Shildon Model Railway Club for Saturday 22nd March for our 15th Annual Model Railway Exhibition, open from 10.00am to 5.00pm.
This will be the fifteenth running of the event which, over the years, has raised £35,000 for charities across the North East. The beneficiary charities this year are Five Acres Community Garden and Parkinson’s Disease Research.
Thomas and Friends will be there along with another 25 working layouts in scales from ‘N’ to ‘0’ (that’s quite small to very big), from some of the country’s very best modellers, as well as twelve trade stands selling model railway equipment, both new and ‘pre-loved’. Stands from three full size Preservation Societies will also be present as will our fantastic ‘Everyone a Winner’ tombola and our usual and famous catering with the fantastic bacon butties and vegetarian options.
Entry is £6.00 for adults, £5.00 for concessions, accompanied children (under 16) and wheelchair users are free.
