Darlington Piano Society’s recital series continues on Sunday 1st February, 3pm at the Dolphin Centre with a programme by Danny Driver, making his third visit to Darlington. He is currently curating a series of five recitals at London’s Wigmore Hall on the theme of ‘Variations’. His programme here is the second of the series in London and includes Lili Boulanger’s enigmatic Thème et variations, alongside works by Handel and Fauré and ends with Robert Schumann’s majestic Symphonic Etudes, with its breathtaking series of variations on a theme by Baron von Fricken.
