Margaret Cowell (Peggy) née Kinley
Of Newton Aycliffe, formerly of Scarva Village, Northern Ireland, passed away peacefully in St. Clare’s Court Care Home with her loving family by her side on 2nd September, aged 103 years. Dearly beloved Wife of the late Norman; a much loved Mam to Son Brian and Daughter Eileen; a treasured Grandma to Andrew, Richard, Sara and Helen; a much loved Great Grandma to Lottie and Ben; also a dear Mother-in-Law to Leslie. Will family and friends please meet for a service at The Methodist Church, Neville Parade on Thursday 25th September at 12 noon. To be followed by interment at Stephenson Way Cemetery.

Harry (former Chairman of Woodham Golf and Country Club), aged 88 years, of Woodham, passed away peacefully in hospital on 6th September. Much loved and loving Husband of Ilene, dearly loved Dad of Paul and Michael, dear Father-in-Law, Grandad and Great-Grandad. Will family and friends please meet for service at St. Elizabeth’s Church, Woodham on Monday, 29th September at 1.30pm, followed by cremation at Wear Valley Crematorium at 2.30pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Church funds and Mountain Rescue.
Derek Currington
Peacefully on 3rd September, after a short illness, Derek aged 94 years. Loved and adored Dad to Joy, Martin and Emma, dear Father in Law to Elaine and Justin, cherished Grandad to Charlotte, Katie, Andrew, Marc, Elliot, Alex and Niamh, and a proud Great-Grandad to Nellie, Harper, Eleni and Seren. Reunited with his beloved Gillian. Sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Wednesday 8th October. Would friends kindly meet for service in Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon at 11.30am.
