Link2work is a bus service created to improve access to workplaces for some County Durham communities.
Funded by the region’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), it provides flexible, on demand bus services offering links that are otherwise unavailable to passengers on local buses. Unlike other bus services, these journeys are booked in advance with journeys designed around shift patterns.
How to book
To book your journey, call 0191 469 6000. The booking line is open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. You can book up to 14 days in advance and up to 5.00pm, the day before you travel. All you need to do is choose the days you need to travel and where you need to be picked up within the local areas, and your journey will be arranged for you from there. When you book, you will be given a holding booking time based on the estimated journey between your departure and arrival.
Fares
On an initial basis, customers will be able to travel free of charge.
