Following on from the Heighington incinerator protest group’s visit to the studio, as our guests, on 15th June, Fornax CEO, Ian Jones, was invited to come on the show. He readily agreed as soon as his work schedule would allow and, five weeks and a number of conversations later, we were finally able to make it happen. Ian joined Andy and myself in the studio to discuss the building of the incinerator and answer a number of questions on the public concerns regarding health and environmental issues.
Ian openly discussed the resistance and the public’s resentment to the location of the incinerator and tried to address people’s fears. He answered a number of questions, but accepted there were many more questions still to be answered and has agreed to return at a later date to answer as many questions as time allows.
