Over the course of 2025 donations averaged out just under a massive 650kg per month (just over 102 stone in old money) with some bumper months.
Our spikes came from:
* Harvest Festival collections – 537.20kg from local schools, colleges and churches
* Christmas collections – 927.65kg donated directly to us (excluding Tesco donations) from local businesses, schools and churches
* Individuals dropped by with 97kg of Christmas donations too
* The Tesco basket donations topped 400kg (from individuals in the community)
These levels are more than we have ever seen, and every single item goes out to local families and individuals who need the support.
This year’s donations equated to approx. 9000 meals.
We thank each and every person who donated, even one tin makes a difference to someone.
The Foodbank is open every Wednesday and Friday 1.30pm – 3.30pm in St Clare’s Church Hall. The kettle is always on and we have some wonderful support groups to chat to as well as ourselves.
