Newton Aycliffe based business, 100 Years Botanicals, was launched in November 2025 and, as we approach our first anniversary, we’ve been named finalists in four categories at the UK Small Business Awards 2026: Best Small Business, Best New Business, Best Home-Based Business and Best Family Business.
We’re also incredibly proud to have received Country Living Artisan Approved status for 2026.
100 Years Botanicals is a small, family-run botanical skincare business, based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. We create handmade, vegan skincare centred around carefully chosen botanical ingredients and gentle skincare rituals, with a particular focus on women with sensitive and changing skin.
Since launching, we’ve continued to grow our range, including our Second Spring facial skincare collection and, more recently, our Autumn Nights bath and body collection, which was created as a warm, comforting seasonal ritual for the autumn months.
The business has grown considerably during our first year, from starting out with a small collection of handmade products to attending markets and events across the North East and developing relationships with local stockists and venues.
To be recognised nationally across four award categories, before we’ve even celebrated our first birthday, feels like a very special milestone for us, particularly as the business is still based here in Newton Aycliffe and our products continue to be made and developed locally.
