Churches in the Great Aycliffe team have made a great start to their Christmas services, with Mayor Ken attending and reading at the Civic Carol service on 7th December.
Members of St. Clare’s Church, led by Change Rector Rev John Musson and Team Vicar Rev Helen Musson, have taken Carol Services in the Care Homes in the town, accompanied by our organist Gordon Bell, who then led the singing of Christmas favourites.
There’s still time to come along to Christmas services within the parish:
Saturday 20th we will be holding Messy Christmas in St. Clare’s, Newton Aycliffe for all the family from 4-6pm.
On Christmas Eve it is a ‘Carols by Candlelight’ at St. Andrew’s, Aycliffe Village at 3pm and our ever popular Christingle Service in St. Clare’s, Newton Aycliffe at 4pm.
Midnight Communion on Christmas Eve takes place at 11.30pm both in St. Clare’s and St. Andrew’s – this is a great way of welcoming in Christmas Day.
On Christmas Day there’s an all-age service at St. Elizabeth’s, Woodham at 10am. We would love to see you as we celebrate Christmas together in the town.
Happy Christmas.
Rev John Musson, Change Rector
Parish of Great Aycliffe.
