“What a lovely way to spend a Friday lunchtime”, listening to a jazz performance by guitarist Joe Steels and the house trio of Mick Shoulder on bass, Dean Stockdale (piano) and Abi Finn (drums). A near full house enjoyed some wonderful sounds as a tribute to the great guitarist Wes Montgomery. Amongst the tunes were Wes Montgomery standards Full House, Carriba, Four on Six and Far Wes with a beautiful rendition of I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face, to calm everybody down before more fireworks. Jingles and a final encore of Gone With The Wind closed the event and everyone left with a smile.
