Pools Youth 0 – Aycliffe U12 Angels Blue 1
Top of the table clash and it was quite a cagey start to the game and we struggled to get on the ball and play for the first ten minutes. Then Pools fired a great strike but Layken got down superbly to make her first of what would many outstanding saves of the day. HT 0-0. Into the second half, and the breakthrough came with around fifteen minutes remaining when Charli slid a ball down the line for Faith to chase, she took it in her stride, beat the defender before delivering an excellent ball finding Evie on the right hand side about ten yards out who calmly slotted home into the bottom corner for what would be the only goal of the game. The girls are one point behind Pools with a game in hand.

HT 2-2. Second half and the boys allowed Shotton back into the game making it difficult for our defence. The Eagles were struggling to find their team mates with their passes and the game could have gone either way. Then a fantastically weighted pass for Hamza to run onto. Aycliffe U12 Angels Yellows 0 v Washington United 1
The game started with the majority of play in Washington’s half. The girls had a half chance through Gwynneth but couldn’t quite convert. Although we were dominating, we couldn’t play that final pass as their defence were holding their own. On twenty minutes the ball fell for Washington on the right and they went 1-0 up. The second half was a very even affair. We had one final chance to get the draw our play deserved as A’alayah played a fine through ball to Amy on the right wing, she shot near post with the GK making a fine save. Player’s player Niamh. Coaches player April.
Billingham 3 v Aycliffe U18 Girls 1
Billingham dominated the first half with several chances and more than a dozen corners, the defence being constantly under pressure but were coping well. Then another corner just before half time rebounds off an Aycliffe defender for an own goal, HT 1-0. Then into the 2nd half every Aycliffe attacking opportunity was cut out before we got near their box. Billingham always looked dangerous in the break and they carved out another two goals. Aycliffe kept pushing on and a surging run, from Kate, gets into the box and she is brought down by a clumsy tackle and Hattie converts the penalty. Aycliffe didn’t get anywhere near testing their keeper and Billingham cruised to take the three points

A glut of goals in this brilliant game against two well matched teams. Half time and it was Darlington just edging it. However, a great fight back and two very late goals from Aycliffe edged the girls a hard earned victory.
