Get ready for a fun-filled Halloween evening for all the family as Aycliffe & District Bus Preservation Museum opens its doors for ‘A Night at the Museum – Halloween Horror Spooktakular’ on Saturday 31st October 2026 from 5.30pm to 9.00pm.
Local residents are invited to come along to the museum on Burtree Road, Newton Aycliffe DL5 6BL for an evening of Halloween entertainment, spooky surprises and family-friendly fun.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy, including a scare walk, Halloween-themed disco, children’s treat bag from Shake ‘n’ Cake, refreshments, a can bar, a Scare Bus, with plenty more Halloween surprises along the way.
Fancy dress is optional, so whether visitors want to come along in their favourite Halloween costume or simply enjoy the evening as they are, everyone is welcome, however there will be prizes for the best costumes.
The evening will also feature special Halloween performances by students from Bishop Auckland College of Performing Arts, adding some live entertainment and theatrical magic to the celebrations.
This is a great opportunity for local families, friends and the wider community to come together, enjoy the museum, support local organisations and have some Halloween fun in a welcoming community atmosphere.
Tickets are just £7.50 each, with everyone attending required to have a ticket (under-16s must be accompanied by an adult).
